Dimapur, March 26 (EMN): District Tobacco Control Cell (DTCC) under the National Tobacco Control Programme (NTCP) organised a school awareness programme at Government Higher Secondary School Wokha.
Dr. Meribeni Odyuo, District Nodal Officer NTCP Wokha, presented on harmful effect of tobacco and COTPA 2003, while Abeni Kikon stressed on the role of school children in combating the tobacco menace in the society.
Altogether 630 students participated in the programme.
DTCC under National Tobacco Control Programme had conducted awareness programme in 26 schools to make the schools tobacco free.
