Tir Yimyim distributes facemasks to citizens of Dimapur

Dimapur, Dec. 9 (EMN): Tir Yimyim, an Ao vernacular newspaper, initiated a facemask distribution programme at Supermarket area in Dimapur on December 9.

District public relations officer Dimapur, Lolano Patton launched programme.

According to a DIPR update, Patton appreciated TirYimyim for “taking the lead in taking the extra initiative for the cause of humanity, besides educating the people about Covid -19 through its print coverage”.

“As responsible citizens we should keep on reminding the masses not to be complacent but to compulsorily follow the three golden rules to stay away from Covid-19 for the safety of oneself as well as for the safety of others,” it read.

Editor and Publisher Tiryimyim, K Temjen Jamir said that the programme was held through the ‘contribution of the readers and well wishers.’

It said that the masks were washable and stitched by the differently-abled persons. The masks were distributed in areas covering Super Market, GS Market, Church road and New market.
