Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) candidate for 24 Angetyongpang AC, Tongpang Ozukum, has stressed on the need to redefine the importance of Angetyongpang AC in the political map of Nagaland and urged the supporters to give their mandate in order to accomplish bigger objective for the constituency and Nagaland in general.
Launching his election campaign on February 9, Ozukum travelled to Longkong and Chakpa villages accompanied by party workers of NDPP and Mokokchung district BJP officials and well-wishers. In his address to the people of Longkong village, Ozukum expressed gratitude to the people for reposing their trust on him in the last election.
In his address, Ozukum stressed that the time has come to redefine the importance of the 24 Angetyongpang AC in the political map of Nagaland. In this regard, he has sought the mandate of the people again to accomplish bigger objectives for the constituency and Nagaland in general, an update from NDPP Mokokchung region stated.
Also speaking in Chakpa village, Ozukum appealed to the people not to judge him for his three years stint in office as two years were spent on the pandemic. He further pleaded the people for their support once more so that he could deliver his promises.
Short speeches were also delivered by officials of NDPP Mokokchung region, BJP Mokokchung district, NDPP vice president of central women organisation, president of Phagsang Area Telongjem, and village council members of Chakpa village.
