TikTok’s first live music fest ‘In the Mix’ unveils star-studded lineup

DIMAPUR — TikTok, the popular short video platform, is making its foray into the world of live music events with the grand premiere of “In the Mix.”

In a statement, Paul Hourican, TikTok’s global head of music partnerships and programming said: “No other platform mixes music, culture and creativity like TikTok. With In The Mix, our goal is to bring the For You feed to life for fans at the venue and on TikTok. Our vision is to create a show that is reimagined for the TikTok era and our music-loving global community.”

TikTok‘s venture into the music scene shouldn’t come as a surprise. In recent years, the platform has left a significant mark on the music industry, with viral songs often becoming mainstream hits.

Scheduled for December 10 in Mesa, Arizona, TikTok In The Mix is labelled as the platform’s first ‘live global music event.’ The festival’s star-studded headliners include Cardi B, Niall Horan, Anitta, and Charlie Puth, all of whom have been prominent figures on TikTok.

The event also has a few surprises up its sleeve, with performances by emerging artists from TikTok’s Elevate program, like Kaliii, Isabel LaRosa, Sam Barber, and Lu Kala.

Charlie Puth, one of the headlining acts, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “TikTok has given me the ability to connect with my fans directly… I love the community we’ve built and am thrilled to be a part of TikTok In the Mix.”

“I really love my TikTok fans and I’m very excited to be able to bring The Show to the TikTok In The Mix event,” Niall Horan shared in a press statement. “I’m also very much looking forward to performing in such a special venue and putting on an amazing show for all the fans that will be present on the day and also all the fans that will be watching from all over the world live on TikTok.”

TikTok has plans to livestream the event, ensuring that global audiences have a front-row seat to this one-of-a-kind event. The livestream will also include appearances from popular TikTok creators and highlight memorable trends from the past year.

Tickets for the event are available to fans of all ages, with a special offer for TikTok followers of the headlining acts. For the followers of the four headlining acts, the opportunity to secure tickets begins on October 27, with presale codes being offered. The general ticket sale will commence on November 2.
