Mokokchung, May 12 (EMN):
Three persons were tested positive for Covid in Mokokchung during the random testing for Covid-19 on the third day on Wednesday. The positive cases were confirmed out of the total 66 nasal swabs collected at two designated locations.

The deputy chief medical officer, Dr. Aonungdok Tushi, informed that out of 66 nasal swabs, 32 nasal swabs were collected at New Market area and the remaining 34 swabs at the Sewak junction. Informing that three nasal swabs returned positive, the officer stated that appropriate measure for contact tracing has been launched immediately.

Dr. Tushi added the officials are waiting for the reports from contact tracing teams.

An official from the district administration informed that two business establishments have been sealed after detection of positive cases during the random antigen Covid-19 test on Wednesday.
