Dimapur, June 25 (EMN): Nagaland registered three lockdown violations while eight persons were bound down on June 24. This was stated by the joint secretary to the state government, Hiazu Meru, while presenting on the law and order situations.

In an update, Meru stated that three persons were booked for violating the lockdown orders while eight others were bound down on June 24.

The report stated that shops for food grains, groceries, and milk and medicine were opened in all the districts of Nagaland except Mokokchung. The report added that the was no report of any shortage of food grains, groceries, milk and medicine in the state.

Besides, the report also stated that there was no restriction on movement of essential service providers like electricity, telecom facilities, medical facilities etc and personnel/workers in manufacturing units and commercial vehicles for distribution of essential commodities and e-commerce. It also reported that suitable arrangements was been made for providing food and shelter to migrant workers affected by the Covid-19 restrictions. The report also said that one active relief camp and one active food camp for eighty two daily wagers and needy persons was functioning without any hindrance.
