Three killed, four injured in road mishap

Eastern Mirror Desk Dimapur, Feb. 20: Three persons were killed and four others injured after a Meghalaya-bound vehicle from Dimapur lost control and rammed into an RCC bridge reeling at Dokmoka town in Karbi Anglong district of Assam on Wednesday, Dokmoka Police station officer in-charge told Eastern Mirror. The incident happened at around 6:30 am on Feb. 20 near Dokmoka Army Camp, 1 km away from Dokmoka Police Station, according to the OC. The victims have been identified as Dr. Ashino (54), Dono Aier (53) and Sakhole Zutso (48 years), all from Dimapur. The four injured were identified as Pukroho Kin, 53; Lolao, 48; Pastor N Paphino, 64, president of Nagaland Christian Revival Church; and driver of the vehicle Md Faizul Islam, 35. According to the Dokmoka police station OC, the driver is in critical condition while the other three are out of danger. The deceased were taken to the Dokmoka hospital for post mortem, while the injured were shifted to a Dimapur hospital after receiving first aid, added the OC. The occupants of the vehicle were on their way to attend a meeting in Tura, Meghalaya.
