Mokokchung, April 4 (EMN): The Mokokchung Police arrested three inner limit permit (ILP) defaulters after Alongmen ward chairman filed a complaint at Police Station-I on April 1.

The ILP defaulters were reportedly detected by the task force of Covid-19.

The defaulters have been identified as Guarav Nag from Doomdooma village of Tinsukia district in Assam; Hari Chanran Das from Dhela Mara Gaon, Sonitpur district in Assam; and Manoj Guala from Gala Bokori village of Tinsukia district in Assam.

The police informed that the defaulters did not possess ILP document and accordingly forwarded it to the court under non-FIR case for further necessary action.

In another report, Tuli police personnel, while conducting MVCP at Tuli town, intercepted a vehicle (Maruti car) bearing registration No. AS-05-A-7828 and detected 4 gram of suspected brown sugar in the possession of one Aosunep from Akhoya village at around 9 pm on April 3.

The suspected illegal substance was concealed under three plastic containers. In this connection, a case has been registered at Tuli police station under appropriate sections of law and investigation is on.

Additional SP Mokokchung Imtimeren also informed that security forces have been deployed along the porous border with Assam at Tsutapela check gate, Aosenden village, Saring village, Tsuremen village, Watiyongpang check gate and Anaki Yimsen village since March 23 in the wake of lockdown to prevent the Covid-19 from spreading.
