Three Covid patients recover in Kohima

Dimapur, Feb. 28 (EMN): One Covid-19 case was recorded on Sunday, taking the state’s tally to 12200.
This was informed by the minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, in a Twitter update. He also informed that three positive Covid-19 patients had recovered from Kohima.
According to the information provided by the Health department, Nagaland has seven active Covid-19 cases, out of which six are asymptomatic and one mild. The state has also recorded 11949 recoveries and 91 deaths, out of which 10 are ‘not Covid-related’.
In regard to district-wise distribution of Covid-19 cases, Kohima has six cases and one in Dimapur while the remaining nine districts have zero cases.
Vaccination for high-risk groups to begin from March 1
The Covid-19 vaccination for age-appropriate age groups will be launched on March 1 for high-risk groups who are above 60 years and above as on January 1, 2022; and citizens aged 45-59 years as on January 1 2022 with comorbidities or diseases subject to certification by a registered medical practitioner.
Healthcare and frontline workers who were left out in the first and second phase would continue to get the vaccine (both registered and non-registered at all session sites), an update from the state immunisation officer, Dr. Ritu Thurr informed on Sunday.
