Three Assam Rifles personnel killed in road accident

Dimapur, Nov. 25 (EMN): In a tragic accident, three Assam Rifles personnel were killed and seven injured at Tousem sub-division in Tamenglong district of Manipur on Tuesday evening.

According to a source, one of the seven injured personnel was in critical condition. They were airlifted from Thiuluan village, situated near the site of the accident.

It was informed that the personnel belong to 44 Assam Rifles posted at Azuna village under Tamenglong district, and the accident happened while they were returning from patrolling. Locals said that the accident might have occurred due to the bad road conditions, as the vehicle rolled down a gorge.
