Three apprenhended with illegal arms

Dimapur, Nov. 01 (EMN): The 32 Assam Rifles, under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) alongwith police representative launched an operation at Burma Camp, Dimapur on Oct. 31, based on specific information regarding presence of an arms dealer. According to PRO Lt. Col. Amitabh Sharma, during the search, the team apprehended one cadre identified as Inache H Awomi (45 yrs), resident of Kushiabil village, Dimapur, along with one Pt 22 mm pistol with magazine and other incriminating documents. The apprehended individual along with recovered arms and items were handed over to East Police Station, Dimapur for further investigation. In a separate operation on, Oct. 31 at Super Market, Dimapur, the 32 Assam Rifles along with police representative, apprehended two persons namely Ayang Ao, (55 yrs), son of Maten Ao, resident Nagarjan, Dimapur and Moa Jamir Ao, (46 yrs), son of Chuba Jamir, resident of Christ colony, Dimapur, with two Pt 22 mm pistols with magazines. The accused along with recovered arms were handed over to East Police Station, Dimapur for investigation.
