‘In the propitious rallies held on Wednesday in the Naga district headquarters, under the aegis of the UNC, the Naga people in the present state of Manipur wish to register once again our collective sentiment and earnest desire to the GoI for exercising its political will to conclude the protracted negotiation on the Indo-Naga political issue in the true spirit of the 2015 August 3 Framework Agreement (FA) signed between the GoI and the NSCN (IM),’ read the memorandum.

It called “upon the GoI to honour the Framework Agreement in letter and spirit by accepting the universal fact that sovereignty lies with the people and by extension, that the Naga National flag and constitution must be an integral part of the shared sovereignty”.

Meanwhile, addressing the rally at Senapati headquarters, Solomon Arow, president of the Naga Peoples’ Organisation (NPO), pledged unwavering allegiance to the Framework Agreement, saying that regardless of the challenges ahead, the people are committed to standing by it with unyielding resolve until the very end.
