DIMAPUR — Founder executive director of Nicodemus Trust, New Delhi, and national director of Evangelism Explosion India, Rev. Sushil Tyagi, has challenged the theological students to respond to the radical call of God for mission beyond their churches, Bible colleges, and cultures.

Rev. Tyagi stated this during the 26th convocation ceremony of United College of Theology and Mission (UCTM) held at Cooks Chapel Hall on April 21 as the guest speaker. Addressing the gathering, Rev. Tyagi told the graduating students that God has called them out for a ‘Radical call to the mission’ as he did with Elijah and David through radical selection to His Mission beyond the borders.

He challenged the students to respond to the radical call of God to the mission beyond their churches, Bible colleges, and cultures.

“God demonstrated His radical love on the cross, and we should reach the unreached people groups with the gospel,” Rev. Tyagi said.

An update from the college stated that a total of 19 students graduated with a Master of Theology, Master of Divinity, Bachelor of Theology, and Diploma. The graduates included students from Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, and Jammu & Kashmir.

Rev. Dr. P Dozo, delivered the welcome address, while N Thungchio Lotha, pastor of Lotha Baptist Church, Chümoukedima, said the invocation prayer and Naga United Village Baptist Church and UCTM Choirs presented songs.

Rev. Dr. N Tzudir, chairman of the college management board, gave away the certificates and awards, while Rev. Dr. Mongzeung Mpom, pastor of Jalukie Town Local Baptist Church, said the commissioning prayer and Rev. Hopejoy M Sharu, pastor of Pochury Baptist Church, Chümoukedima, pronounced the benediction.
