BJP Nagaland on Saturday claimed that the visit of national president Amit Shah and general secretary organisation Ram Lal to the State was a success and has boosted the confidence of the state BJP rank and file. In a press statement, BJP media cell claimed that the visit by the BJP national president and general secretary organisation Ram Lal fulfilled the intended purpose. The national president of BJP also urged and challenged the party workers to turn the problems into possibilities and possibilities into opportunities, the press note added. He also emphasis and point out that strengthening the BJP would in turn strengthen the relation between the state and Delhi. Amit Shah then appealed to all sections of people to understand that the BJP is a secular party and there is no threat to the Christians and the minorities and further appealed for cooperation, it further said. Meanwhile, the BJP Nagaland State unit thanked the government of Nagaland, the Governor, the Chief Minister, the Dimapur district administration, the police commissionarate, the Indian Reserve personnel for their kind cooperation extended during the visit of the BJP national president. The BJP Nagaland also congratulated the national BJP president for ‘reaching the landmark target by enrolling 10 crore members’ in the BJP which has ‘created history’ by beating the communist party of China which has 6 crore members in the party. The BJP Nagaland State unit also stated that Nagaland has emerged as the fastest in the membership drive across the nation. The visiting dignitaries were also impressed and expressed happiness over the meeting with the Christian organisations— the Catholic association of Nagaland and the Nagaland Baptist Church Council.
