[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he world is a world of rock and sand for human life. There is rock but there is sand; there is sand but there is rock. Human being can be either on rock or sand. Obedience to the word of God is said to be rock and disobedience to the word of God is sand. A human life is compared to a house. A house which is built on rock can never be destroyed by any force which encounters it but a house built on sand will be destroyed by any force. So the house which is built on rock is safe and secure and according to the conscience he or she has courage but the house built on sand has no courage according to the conscience. (1 John 3: 20-21).Obedience to God puts us in the love of God and being in the love of God is the greatest thing for human life. Men and women who are in the love of God are under His protection, care, sustenance and power. So who can be against them? Will God allow the ones who are in His love and under His power to be destroyed by any enemy? God is the eternal living Rock. Anyone who is obedient to Him is in His love and he who is in His love is on the Rock. Almighty God alone is the Lord and power over the lives of His obedient children. There is nobody, nothing and no power over the lives of those who are in the love of God. If you abide in the love of God, you can challenge any power which is against you.
Those who are built on sand, how can they have peace? The disobedient ones are not in the love of God and those who are not in the love of God are not on the Rock. Missing the Rock is a tragic thing for all human beings. So in order to be on the Rock, all should be in the love of God and to be in the love of God, all should have relationship with Him. How can we have relationship with God? It is possible only by knowing Him, believing in Him, fearing Him and obeying Him. So keeping human ethics of relationship with God, “Know God, Believe In Him, Fear Him and Obey Him” is the primary need for all human beings born to the world.
“As my Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you obey my commands you will remain in my love; just as I have obeyed my Father’s commands and remain in His love”. (John 15: 9)
