The Seal of Salvation
Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: “ The Lord knows those who are his”, and, “ Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.
2nd Timothy 2:19
Every foundation laid is made last and this foundation we speak of is not of the world’s order but God’s. Even before the beginning of creation, salvation was there and God knew of the wickedness which would befall the world. The solid foundation mentioned here can also refer to the book of life and as such are the sacred contents, we beckon every child of God to see God’s word with more seriousness. The truth of it will sometimes speak in love, at times in the form of a consuming fire. The Song of Solomon and the book of Revelation are among such books which speaks of this life and the next. For God cannot lie, everything which comes out of His mouth are power, it shall not fail to accomplish what its purposes are.
The love of God is that its favor rest more on the godly than the ungodly. The Lord’s promise is never to put God’s people to shame the faith of Christ ‘ elected 12 disciples ( 11+1=12 ) shed light on how they carried their cross and the histories of their lives were glorious. The servants of God in the Bible stood firm and the faith in them clearly said they are of God, for God. The death of Ezekiel’s wife couldn’t move him, neither could David’s enemies triumph over him. The Prophets knew God so did the Apostles and the inscription of this is that as we get deeper in faith so will our relationship with God be. The men and women of God did not waver in faith and as they lived in God’s power, their foes couldn’t triumph over them. This is what power is and as this truth is, the righteous will live by faith. Thus God calls the Church of God to be established in faith. God is the owner of salvation and the Holy Spirit is the seal.
