It is human nature to imitate what we love. And when people do it altogether, it becomes FASHION. Hence, one of the reasons why CORRUPTION is still an obsession in Nagaland is that some guys made it FASHIONABLE at one point in time, and people blindly followed them! But thank God, it is GOING OUT OF STYLE by day. It’s heartening to see that, finally, misusing of public funds, using government facilities for private purposes, abusing power uselessly (shamelessly), driving expensive SUVs by public servants when we are unable to pay even salaries, blowing siren and demanding space where there is no road, moving around with body-guards in full combat uniform even in worship places etc. are NO MORE COOL! For those of you who are still blurred and motivated by this once prized “Naga Dream” – because that was our mental standard then - well, it is OUTDATED.
Now - by His grace - ANTI-CORRUPTION is in, and a new Naga tribe is on the rise – ACUAT! Yes, I am ACUAT and may my tribe increase! This is the charge of a Naga generation who are pissed off by decades of corruption, ism, dirty politics, extortions, killings, and threats! This is the idea and moment we have been waiting for, and now it is here. It’s getting infectious. The caravan is getting longer by day. History is of proof that everything starts small and gets bigger. And that in the beginning, even great revolutions were preceded by errors and cowardice on the people’s part. But they “endured” and “won.” So let us not stop my friends. Persist, we must, to win. The world knows that our crusade is just and right. It’s getting loud. And remember, this is not ‘head-hunting,’ hence, not for ‘self-glory.’ This is a fight between good and evil. And if God is on our side, who will be against us?
