The Naga Orpheus Hunt
[dropcap]T[/dropcap]HE Naga Orpheus Hunt (NOH) kicked off its first audition under the theme “Idol in You” at its birth place Mokokchung at Eastern Talkies Theatre on Tuesday. After a more refined and close competition among the contestant five of them got through the round and got hold of ‘The Green Card’ from the panel of judges which comprises of Tali Angh, Moanungsang and Aheli Moitra. The Green Card holders will be up again for screening round which will be held on 27th Sept at Eastern Talkies where all selected contestant from all district in Nagaland will partake in it. The selected contestants from Mokokchung district are-Alem Jamir, Meyinungsang Longkumer, Lijem, Yapangtula and Sentimenla.
Neil Verma, Show Director of NOH expressed his satisfaction over the success of the first audition and denoted positive attitude for this season of Naga Orpheus Hunt which is organized by Roots, under the motto “Growing Together”. He also appealed the Naga people to encourage family members and friends who have the potential to do something in this platform and encouraged to be like idols
Reviewing on the contestants turned up for Mokokchung District Audition Arsashi Ozukum, General Secretary Roots stated “the organizers are not discouraged by fewer contestants”. He stated that there were few last minutes turned-off due to unexpected circumstances yet the audition was fruitful and aimed to achieve greater heights in the journey ahead. Further he stated “Mokokchung is called the land of fashion and music and let music grow from this land”
The next audition is schedule on 19th September for Kohima district at Rattle and Hum, 20th Sept for Dimapur at Saramati and 24th Sept for Zunheboto District.
