‘The Happy Fest’ today at Noune Resort

DIMAPUR — The 5th edition of Dimapur Music Festival, notably known as DMF, will be held on Sep.16 at the Picnic Island, Noune Resort, from 6 pm onwards.

The organisers Live Now Events announced during a press conference that the gates of the one-day event, dubbed as “The Happy Fest,” will open at 2 pm with entry ticket priced at INR 400 for general and INR 2000 for VIP. Children below 12 years will be given free entry to encourage the whole family to take part in the festivities.

When asked why the event was taking place in Chümoukedima when the festival is under the name of Dimapur, the event creative head Menuolhoulie Kire, clarified that when the festival was started initially, Chümoukedima was then under Dimapur district.

However, he noted that music is beyond boundaries and “we are divided only by boundary but not by music.”

Also, for a change, he said the organisers wanted the festival away from the urban crowd so that people can enjoy something different away from the daily road that they take.  

The organisers promised to host a sensational celebration of music, camaraderie and unforgettable experience at the 5th edition of DMF 2023.

Along with performances from renowned artistes, the audience will also be introduced to lesser-known upcoming treasures from the state and the line-up for the DMF 2023 a melodic odyssey are Polar Lights; Trance Effect; Atsa Lang Roths; Wishes and Dreams; DJ Ina; Tafma “Battle of Bands” winner “Euphonic” with Eva Jamir as the event emcee.

Attendees can explore an array of food stalls offering culinary delights and engage in fun games. The festival promises not just entertainment but a holistic celebration of life, art and community.

Giveaway

The organisers are giving back to the DMF community with giveaways where lucky winners can enjoy a luxurious one-night stay at the Noune Resort or an angling session, where the winners will be randomly chosen from the entry tickets sold. A winner can choose either one-night stay or an angling session. The offer can be claimed only by producing the winning ticket within 3 months from the festival date while booking should be made seven days in advance.
