“You have rebuked the nations and destroyed the wicked; you have blotted out their name forever and ever.” “He shot his arrows and scattered the enemies, great bolts of lightning routed them.” “Fire goes before him and consumes his foes on every side.” “But all sinners will be destroyed; the future of the wicked will be cut off. “ The nations perished without repentance, no survivors were among them. The slain among them were many and as in wickedness they lived, great disaster engulfed them. The sinners had no regard for the Bible or even for God. Far away from the truth were they and they loved no God, no one , not even themselves. The fire of God’s wrath had to come and sad were their fate. The rich man did not sin like the Sodomites, Judas did nit live in immorality, and though the nature of their sins were different, the same fate overtook them both. The sinners were destroyed that way and there were no cries of salvation, not even remorse. That was how they met their end and so it shall be with the wicked. The wicked lives under God’s wrath but the righteous under God’s power. ( Psalm 9:5 ) ( Psalm 18:14 ) ( Psalm 97:3 ) ( Psalm 37:38 )
