The Chimney Hut relocated to Secretariat Road
KOHIMA — The Chimney Hut, a complete restaurant specialising in Chinese cuisine, has been relocated to Secretariat Road, Kohima, and is all set to serve the customers
The Chimney Hut, popular for its signature dishes like Chimney Soup served in pot, seafood – Sui Mai, Bao Zi etc., was initially opened at Keziekie Taxi Stand in 2019.
However, with the increase in customers and lack of space, the restaurant was shifted to Secretariat Road. The restaurant will be open daily from 11 am to 9 pm, except on Sunday, said its proprietor Veeky Sorhie Liu.
Liu said that they are open not only for dine-in and take-away services but also to host birthday and anniversary parties, while also providing catering services.
“We serve authentic Chinese dishes with the main chef Michael Ho, himself cooking the entire items,” she said, and added that the service givers are local youths.
The menu includes Lap Cheong (Chinese sausage), Tofu, prawns, dumplings, wonton and also vegetable and non-vegetable items.
