Dimapur, Oct. 4: The Body Shop, a well known British company catering to skin, beauty, bath products and cosmetics, has opened its doors for the first time in Dimapur on October 4.
It is also said to be the first franchisee store in India.
The co-proprietor of the showroom, Vipin Jain informed that the rest of the stores across India are all company-operated while the one in Dimapur is a franchisee. He said that there were many Body Shop members in Nagaland who go outside the state to buy their products and hence “thought it would be great to have a store here.”
“It is a top UK brand and the products are 100% vegan,” Jain informed.
Former chief minister of Nagaland, KL Chishi inaugurated the store, which is located at Chishi Complex, Circular Road. He appreciated the proprietors — Ritika Sethi and Vipin Jain — for opening the famous brand.
“My family and I favour this brand because of its excellence and I am happy it has come to Nagaland,” Chishi said. He further wished the proprietors success and luck.
