An online contest for 'Zeliangrongpui Song of the Year 2019' award which started on Feb. 14 concluded on May 3.
An update from the president of Zeliangrong Naga Song Promotion (ZNSP) issued on May 5 informed that altogether 85 Zeliangrongpui artists participated in contest where artists with most YouTube views and likes won the contest.
Thanchuilu Gangmei was declared the winner of Zeliangrongpui Song of the Year 2019. Her song 'Sivpung Ram Khou' won the contest with a margin of 1825 votes. She is said to be of Rongmei tribe from Langol Tarung, Thangmeiband, Imphal in Manipur.
Gangmei, who is said to be a popular Zeliangrong Singer, has so far released five gospel albums.
Liwang Chawang and Kenlumyile were declared as first and second runners-up.
The winner walked away with a cash prize of INR 10,000, a portrait of herself as a memento and a certificate. While the first and second runner-up would be given a portrait each.
