TGOUN organises seminar on scope in fashion designing

DIMAPUR — The Global Open University Nagaland (TGOUN), located in Sozhulhou/ Kozabe village, organised a seminar on ‘The scope and career in fashion designing’ at its campus on April 9.

An update from the university stated that the keynote speaker, Theja Sekhose, proprietor and director of TS Academy of Design and alumnus of TGOUN, underscored the vast array of career opportunities within the fashion industry.

Addressing a gathering of young aspiring designers, he emphasised the importance of embracing opportunities and pursuing passion with an open mind. He also highlighted key aspects such as brand identity, collaboration and sustainability, stressing their significance in the professional journey of budding designers.

Besides, Sekhose encouraged the participants to translate their unique vision into their designs and find their distinctive style to leave a lasting impact on the industry.

“It is crucial for young designers to discover their strength and channel their creativity to carve out their niche in the dynamic world of fashion,” Sekhose said.
