Tetso College organises workshop for female students

Dimapur, July 12 (EMN): With an objective to provide valuable training and development opportunities to female undergraduate and postgraduate students, Tetso College has organised a workshop on capacity building and personality training programme at Lorin Hall on July 11.

An update from the college informed that the workshop was sponsored by the National Commission for Women (NCW), New Delhi.

Speaking at the workshop, NCW member, Delina Khongdup, who also the special guest, has emphasised on the importance of enhancing one’s capabilities. She was accompanied by Akokla Longchar, NCW member.

The resource persons of the workshop were Anjan K Behera, acting dean; Dr. Rosy Tep, head of English department; Dr. Jenny Lalmuanpuii, coordinator of Mass Communication; Thejasanuo Khezhie, assistant professor of English; Prasenjit Bhadra, assistant professor of Commerce and Management; and Viruno Yalie, human resource senior executive.

Report stated that Delina Khongdup along with Akokla Longchar inaugurated the women's common room at the college.

The room has been set up by the college to provide female students and staff a space for recreation, relaxation, and informal discussions during their free time.

The room is also equipped with a sanitary napkin vending machine and incinerator.
