DIMAPUR — The 8th edition of CoMFIESTA ’23, organised by the department of Commerce and Management, Tetso College, was held on October 20 at the college premises with Neichute Doulo, CEO, Entrepreneurs Associates, as the special guest.

According to a press release, Doulo delivered the keynote address on the occasion, discussing entrepreneurship and how individuals must have the quality of a growth mindset. He added that success is relative and that the key factors required to thrive in the business world are building networks, finding mentors, and working with like-minded people.

Neichute challenged the participants to never stop learning, to be resilient, and to never stop believing in themselves. “Let your talent earn you a living and never limit yourself,” he told the students.

During the inaugural programme, Dr. Hewasa L Khing, principal of the college, encouraged all students to continue thinking outside the box, to believe in themselves, and to work hard towards their goals. She also persuaded the students to be great individuals who would have a positive impact on the world.

In this edition of the event, St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Jakhama, was declared the overall champion, closely followed by Tetso College as runner-up.

The inter-institutional fest is organised annually by the department of Commerce and Management to promote team spirit and test students’ mental and artistic abilities.

Participating institutions in this edition included C-Edge College, Pranabananda Women’s College, Public College of Commerce, St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Unity College, St. Joseph University, Patkai Christian College (Autonomous), ICFAI University, Carmel Higher Secondary School, Livingstone Foundation International College, and Tetso College.

The students during the fest competed in different events such as ‘contrakeenos’, ‘dramatisement’, ‘crack it! win it!’, ‘sell it! win it!’, ‘business talkathon’, ‘Mobile Legends’, ‘Comfiesta’s Got Talent’, and ‘vignette business reels’.
