Dimapur, July 17 (EMN): With the mission to empower people towards achieving excellence and create positive impact in the world, Tetso College on Saturday launched the ‘Tetso College City Campus’ at HT Square Building 1st floor, near Hotel Grand Tizu, Notun Bosti in Dimapur.
Tetso College City Campus was inaugurated by the advisor to chief minister and Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Sciences, R Khing, as a special guest.
Speaking at the occasion, the director of Tetso College, Kvulo Lorin, informed
that the centre would be an integrated campus of Tetso College focusing on placements and professional up-scaling such as IAS coaching in association with ALS IAS Coaching Delhi, financial literacy in association with Sapient Wealth, and hybrid communication skills and online tools through TetsoEd.
He added that the centre would also serve as a hotspot for Tetso College staff for accessing high speed internet while supplementing existing programmes of the college.
Also speaking at the occasion, R Khing said that with the advancement in technology, the world is now smaller and people need to broaden their horizons to think globally and compete at the same level. He added that Nagas are smart and capable of competing at the same level.
He opined that the centre could a platform for youth to be at par with the rest of the world and lauded the initiative taken up by Tetso College. Khing also expressed optimism that the coaching academy would produce many Naga IAS officers in the near future.
Noting that most Nagas still lack in financial literacy, he advised to look beyond physical storages of wealth to financial asset classes. He also urged the gathering to avail the opportunity to learn financial literacy programme provided at the centre.
