Dimapur, June 29: Members of the Tenyimi Women’s Union of Dimapur and Tenyimi Student’s Dimapur toured Nagaland, Manipur and Assam from June 20 till the 25th as part of what the organizers informed was a community bonding initiative. They visited Makhel, Senapati in Manipur; Pfutsero, Tseminyu, Kohima, Jalukie, Meluri in Nagaland; and Jongpha in Assam, the organizers informed.
“The main purpose of the tour was to mobilize and create awareness among Tenyimi so as to consolidate the lineage shared from the same ancestor. Another objective was to promote love and unity amongst the people of Tenyimi race,” a note form the group informed in a note issued to the media this week.
The team had good and meaningful interactions with different people from the community, the organizations said.
