Nitraks team from PR Hill Kohima, the youngest team of the tournament at High School ground, Kohima on Tuesday.

Kohima, June 20 (EMN): The 1st Tennis Ball Super Six Cricket tournament 2017 organised by Middle Bayavü Youth Organisation (MBYO) Kohima, with the theme “Unite and bring success” got underway at Kohima High School ground on Tuesday, June 20.
A total of 30 teams are competing in the three-day tournament with Nitraks team from P.R Hill colony (age between 12 to16) as the youngest participating team in the tournament.
Kekhriesilie Khoubue, the president of MDYO said that only through games and sports we come together. He said that through the tournament we see different people coming together from every corner of Kohima to participate. He further asserted that they would like to contribute the society through games and sports.
Playing on a knockout system 11 matches was played on the first day. In the first match, Samaritan ‘A’ defeated Acme by 11 runs. While 6 Legions won by 5 wickets against the Naga Boys in the second match. The final will be played on Thursday.
The organising committee informed that the champions will receive a cash prize of Rs. 10,000/- while the 2nd and 3rd place will receive Rs. 5,000/- and Rs. 2,500/- respectively.
