Tekken 7 news: Season 4 trailer, DLC character and sales top 6 million
Dimapur, Sep. 27 (EMN): Bandai Namco Entertainment has just dropped a new launch trailer for Tekken 7 Season 4 update. The update brings a lot of additions and improvements to Tekken 7. For instance, every character will get new moves, a new top-level rank “Tekken God Omega” is being added to the ranking system, the addition of “Tekken Prowess: A new way for players to see their Tekken skills through points scoring”, upgraded online gameplay, a new stage called “Vermillion gates” and Kunimitsu as the new playable DLC character.
For the uninitiated, Kunimitsu was a former member of Yoshimitsu’s ninja clan and made her first appearance in the original Tekken where she was a playable unlockable character. Her character’s face is always concealed by a cat-shaped mask. However, in the trailer, Kunimitsu removes her mask for the first time and it is revealed that this is the daughter of the old Kunimitsu. Kunimitsu’s last appearance was in Tekken 2, although she has been featured in Tekken Tag Tournament games.
In other news, Game director for the Tekken series Katsuhiro Harada has announced on twitter that the total sales for Tekken 7 have surpassed the 6 million mark. With this development, the entire Tekken series has sold more than 50 million copies.

Tekken is a series of fighting video and arcade games developed and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The original Tekken was first released in 1994 as an arcade game. Tekken was then subsequently ported for the PlayStation in 1995. Tekken 7 was released in 2015 for both arcades and the PlayStation 4.
The new Tekken 7 Season 4 update doesn’t have a launch date as of now. Instead, Bandai Namco has informed that the update is slated for “Fall 2020”. But we are not complaining as long as we get to “main” Kunimitsu again.
