Dimapur, March 12 (EMN): The School of Engineering & Technology of Nagaland University in Dimapur organised a seminar on the topics of Rule of Law and the criminal justice system based on the Doha Declaration on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice that was conducted at Doha in Qatar during April 12-19.
The speaker on the seminar was Tali Ao, president of the Nagaland BAR Association, a press release that was received here on Thursday stated.
The updates stated that the speaker highlighted the meaning of the Rule of Law, equality before the law, protection of certain rights regarding Freedom of Speech, protection in respect of conviction for offences, protection of life and personal liberty, protection against arrest and detention in certain cases, among others.
