WOKHA — Team Metamorphosis, a Wokha-based non-governmental organisation, in collaboration with the department of Tourism, Government of Nagaland, will host the first Wokha Winter Fiesta- Music Eco-Tourism and Adventure (WWF-META) at Lanchuju Eru, Doyang, from December 4 to the 9th on the theme "Explore and discover."

Thungdemo Kyong, chief of Team Metamorphosis, stated that the team has been serving the community for the past 19 years. He said that they believed in living together and growing together in a society where everyone could live happily and also try their best to be self-reliant.

Highlighting the event theme "Explore and discover,” he said the main objective was to harness the richly endowed natural resources. Kyong informed that various activities like indigenous games would organised during the day and music in the evening to promote the local and upcoming artistes, while stalls would also be set up for local artisans to showcase their handicraft products.

Thungchibemo Lotha, another member, informed that the festival would include music, art and adventure. He added that it would be an annual event where the festival aims to create job opportunities, especially for the local youths.

Lotha expressed that the aim of the festival was to explore the huge potential of tourism in the state of Nagaland in general and the Wokha district in particular, while it aims to attract more visitors from within and outside the state. He further added that the festival would also provide much-needed fun and entertainment to all sections of people.
