Team Metamorphosis celebrated its 21st foundation day at New Wokha village, with awards presented to individuals for contributions to peace advocacy, education, youth development, social service, journalism and public service.

WOKHA — Team Metamorphosis celebrated its 21st foundation day at New Wokha village on Friday, with several individuals honoured with national awards for their contributions in various fields.
Speaking at the programme, Rev. Khonbemo P Kikon, former executive secretary of the Lotha Baptist Churches Association (LBCA), acknowledged the hardships, sacrifices and dedication of Team Metamorphosis under the leadership of its chief, Dr. Thungdemo Kyong.
Rev. Kikon lauded the organisation for its service to society and particularly highlighted Dr. Kyong’s contribution as a voluntary blood donor, having donated blood 33 times to help save lives.
Appreciating the team’s continued service to the community, he said the people of Wokha district and Nagaland have recognised its efforts and achievements over the years.
As the organisation approaches its silver jubilee, Rev. Kikon encouraged its members to continue serving society and expressed hope that Team Metamorphosis would gain greater national and international recognition in the future.
The programme was chaired by Dr. Thungdemo Kyong, chief of Team Metamorphosis.
During the celebration, awards were conferred on Dr. Thungchibemo Lotha, Amos Odyuo, Mharhomo V. Murry, M Wanchio Odyuo, Achanbeni M Lotha, Oreno, Dr. N Yanpothung Ezung and Abenthung Kikon for their contributions to peace advocacy, education, youth development and leadership, community and social service, journalism, and public service.
