DIMAPUR — Team Metamorphosis conducted social work at the paediatric ward of the Dr. Motsuo Memorial District Hospital in Wokha on Saturday.

The facility has been adopted and maintained by the team since 2019, when the then medical superintendent, Dr. Tumchobeni, granted the team this privilege, stated a press release.

It mentioned that the team frequently visits the ward to clean the toilets, sweep and mop the floor, and mend or replace non-technical or medical items that are spoilt or broken. The team has also put up pictures and posters that are child-friendly, ensuring that when young patients enter the ward, they find the facility welcoming and lively.

On Saturday, the team took five students from the fifth semester of the four-year undergraduate course at Mt. Tiyi College in Wokha, who are completing their internship with the team for thirty-seven days.

It mentioned that these students have chosen Team Metamorphosis for their internship to learn about NGOs and their functions.

Earlier, in June, two students from Lovely Professional University in Phagwara, Punjab, completed an eighteen-day internship in community development with the team as part of their degree course.

In addition to cleaning the facility, they also contributed posters that they drew and painted themselves.
