DIMAPUR —The Central Monitoring Team from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) visited Zunheboto for the Aspirational Blocks Programme in Akuhaito block under Zunheboto on May 9 and 10.

According to an update, the team led by Narendra Kumar Oza, Central Nodal Officer of MoHFW, and Dr. J Hokugha Sema, Deputy Director of the Department of Health and Family Welfare, visited all the health centers under the aspirational block with the district officials and staff under the chief medical officer of Zunheboto, accompanied by Dr. Samuel, Extra Assistant Commissioner of Atoizu.

On the first day, the team visited Asukhuto Health and Wellness Centre, Atoizu Primary Health Centre, Apukito Sub-Centre, and Lokobo Health and Wellness Centre, and concluded with a brief meeting with the Deputy Commissioner of Zunheboto, Rahul Bhanudas Mali, at the DC's chamber.

On the second day, the team visited Sukomi Health and Wellness Centre, Akuhaito Health and Wellness Centre, Rotomi Sub-Centre, and Philimi Sub-Centre (SC) before heading to Kohima.

In Kohima, a short debriefing meeting was held at Hotel Vivor with officials from the directorate to discuss key performance indicators and various drawbacks faced in the aspirational block.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Akuo Sorhie, Mission Director of the National Health Mission (NHM); Dr. Mereninla, Senior Programme Officer, NHM; Dr. Manyu Phom, Deputy Director, NHM; and Dr. J Hokugha Sema, Deputy Director of Planning.
