DIMAPUR — Graduation and induction of new batch for tailoring was held at the conference hall of the Directorate of Technical Education on June 26 with Temjenmenba, advisor to CM, Transportation and Technical Education departments, as the special guest.

Speaking on the occasion, Temjenmenba thanked the JK Trust and all the stakeholders for giving a platform to Naga youth for employment by partnering with the department for the training programme and job placements to the passed out trainees, stated an update from the department.

He encouraged the passed out trainees to be humble and dedicated to their work wherever they are posted and be ambassadors of Nagaland. He also stated that they are on an important mission as their role is not only to earn their livelihood but also prove that Naga boys and girls are equally capable with the rest of the country.

“When you perform well, you are paving the way for other trainees to come and work. You have to be really careful because you are not only for yourself but you are paving and opening up the way for your friends to come and join you for more employment and other companies will also recognise your efforts,” the advisor said.

To the new batch, he stated that their training is important but over and above their performance, discipline and dedication would count in the long run as they go out of the state of Nagaland and experience the new environment.

It mentioned that the tailoring training programme is a joint initiative of government of Nagaland, NABARD, Silver Spark and JK Trust.

Report further stated that certifications were given away to the passed out students.
