DIMAPUR — The Birds and Bees Talk (TBBT), in collaboration with the Kohima Village Students’ Union (KVSU) observed ‘World Health Day-cum-felicitation for teachers and students’ at the Kohima Village Council Hall on April 5 on the theme ‘Health for all.’
It informed that TBBT program is a joint initiative led by Reckitt and implemented by Plan India to propel the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), government of India’s (GoI) initiatives on adolescent health and the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the country.
An update from TBBT stated the event was attended by Thavaseelan K, principal director of School Education and project director of NECTAR and CEO of state health authority, GoN, as the chief guest. The chief guest has lauded the on-ground efforts and TBBT’s presence in the state in spreading vital awareness among the adolescents.
The guest speaker and deputy director of Health and Family Welfare department, Dr. Ruokuohelie Rutsa, spoke on the theme ‘Health for all’ by highlighting the importance of crucial habits and practices in one’s budding stage to grow up into healthier adults.
A special highlight of the event was the felicitation of teachers and students from Northfield School, Ministers Hill Baptist Higher Secondary School and GMS Forest Colony, Kohima, for their exemplary performance and participation in the TBBT programmes.
