DIMAPUR — As part of Nikshay 2.0, a function was organized at Dimapur District Tuberculosis Centre on June 5 to provide nutritional support to TB patients.
Nikshay 2.0 is an initiative by the government of India to provide nutritional support by Nikshay Mitra/ donor.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]An update from the centre informed that the Dimapur Ao Baptist Arogo (DABA) has decided to adopt 50 tuberculosis patients and provide food supplements for six months on the occasion.
Dr. Benchilo, district TB officer of Dimapur, informed that there are 1074 patients on treatment and out of that 239 were receiving food supplements. He stated that DABA has adopted 50 patients out of 239 patients.
Dr. Limala Aier, chief medical officer (CMO) of Dimapur, has appreciated DABA for providing food supplements and their support towards TB patients.
Rev. I. Wati Jamir, senior pastor of DABA, invoked blessing for all TB patients and healthcare workers.
Report further stated that food supplements were provided to TB patients during the function.
