Tata Trusts announces scholarships for D.Ed and B.Ed

Dimapur, Feb. 3 (EMN): Tata Trusts, India’s oldest philanthropic organisation, has announced scholarships for D.Ed and B.Ed courses for the residents of Jammu and Kashmir and Northeast India namely Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.

An update from the organisers informed that applications would be accepted from February 1 to the 15th. The application form along with detailed instructions could be downloaded from its website, www.tatatrusts.org. It added that the scholarship would cover tuition fees and other related academic fees as part of their individual grants programme.

All candidates who have scored 65% or above or more than 7.00 CGPA in their qualifying exams in the academic year 2019-20 would be eligible to apply. Candidates are asked to mail the relevant documents by February 15 within 24 hours of filling up the application form. It, however, added that those whose results would be announced after February 15 could mail the mark sheets till April 30.

In case of any queries, interested applicants could also send a mail at igpadmin@tatatrusts.org, with the subject line “<>-Query”. It stated that the final decision of the Trusts would be communicated through the e-mail ID provided by the applicant.

The mandatory documents required included attested copies of mark sheets relevant to the academic year 2019-20, fee receipts for the academic year 2020-21, a cancelled cheque or first page of the student’s bank passbook and the latest annual income proof of parents/guardians. The documents must be in PDF format, the statement informed.

It mentioned that Tata Trusts was formed in pre-independent India in 1892 by the legendary “Father of Indian industry” Jamsetji Tata. The goal of the organisation is to bring about rapid development in the areas of health, nutrition, education, water, sanitation and hygiene, livelihood, digital transformation, migration and urban habitat, social justice and inclusion, environment and energy, skill development, sports, and arts and culture, it stated.
