Dimapur, Dec. 1 (EMN): Tizit Area Students’ Union (TASU) has confiscated huge quantity of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and contraband drugs during its anti-social drives.
The anti-social drives were carried within its jurisdiction from October 7-9 and from November 16-23. During the drives, the union confiscated 750ml x 149 bottles, 375ml x 20 bottles, Imperial Blue 750ml x 5 bottles, Officer Choice 750ml x 14 bottles, 375ml x 10 bottles, 175ml x 12 bottles, Beer (He-man 9000) 7 bottles, Cane Beer 56 nos, opium 16 packs, Spasmo Proxyvon 402 capsules and Nitroglycerin 1 strip.
Informing this, the union vice president Nyemphua and chairman of action committee Khatwang Konyak stated that the seized items were submitted to the Excise Office in Tizit and subsequently destroyed on November 29 at Excise Office in the presence of Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC) Tizit, Officer In-charge Tizit, Head Dobashi and TASU officials.
