Tafma to organise digital concert on Independence Day
Dimapur, Aug. 11 (EMN): On the occasion of Independence Day, August 15, the Task Force for Music and Arts (Tafma) will be presenting a digital concert to honour the nation with music, bringing the country together to celebrate the auspicious day.
An update from the Director of Musik-A issued on Au. 11informed that the “Indie-Pendence Rock” is an event organised in continuation of the significant steps Tafma has been taking to engage the entertainment, music and arts fraternity together during the lockdown.
This event is said to highlight interesting collection of various Indie artists including MY.st from South Korea, Uday Benegal (Indus Creed) from Mumbai, The Snake Charmer (Archy Jay) from Delhi, Vasu Dixit (Swarathma) from Bangalore and artistes from home such as ANTB (Alobo Naga and the band), Mar Jamir from Polar lights and Koko, an upcoming female artist.
The event will be hosted by pianist and music educator, Bethel Tsuzu.
Kiren Rijiju, Minister of State (Independent charge) Youth affairs and sports; Bhaichung Bhutia, Padma Shri and Former Indian Football team captain and Mary Kom, an Olympic medallist, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), recipient of Padma Virbhushan, Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Awardee will be delivering special Independence Day messages during the concert.
Tafma pays its deepest respect and gratitude to all health and frontline workers, ‘all who are risking their lives to save ours.’ The concert will witness Indie Musicians and personalities coming together to pay their respect, love and gratitude, the update informed.
The Indie-Pendence Rock is being curated by Musik-A events Nagaland with Rolling Stones and Music Connect Asia as associate partners.
