TaFMA, Local Colors celebrate World Art Day at Kisama

  • DIMAPUR — To commemorate World Art Day, the Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA), in collaboration with Local Colors, organised a one-day programme at the Toyota KI premises in Kisama, with global theme “A Garden of Expression: Cultivating Community Through Art.”

  • An update issued on Tuesday informed that the programme brought together artistes, students, and members of the public to celebrate creativity and community through art.

  • The event was graced by Sachin Sharma, North East Regional Head, Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt. Ltd., as the special guest. Also present was Y. Vikheho Swu, Managing Director of Okusa Toyota.

  • Sharma is said to have highlighted the significance of art in fostering social cohesion and personal growth and acknowledged the ongoing partnership between Toyota and TaFMA while reaffirming Toyota’s commitment to support artistic and cultural initiatives in the region.

  • The event featured a musical performance by Nchumbemo Yanthan, and an introduction to the day's activities was given by Among Venuh from Local Colors.

  • The event also featured art competition with participation of students from various educational institutions. The competition aimed to encourage young learners to explore and express their creative interpretations of the theme through visual art
