Dimapur, Jan. 18 (EMN): A five-day art residency programme organised by Task Force for Music and Art (TaFMA) for its empanelled visual artists got underway in Tuophema village under Kohima district on Tuesday.
An update from TaFMA stated that the programme began with a short briefing and words of encouragement from its project director Dr. Hovithal Sothu. It added that after the briefing, the participants were taken for a walk in Tuophema village under the guidance of Keduo, tourist guide, to give the participants an indepth experience and knowledge of Tuophema village.
The activities to be carried out during the five-day art residency programme included live painting, mentorship classes, interactive sessions, art camp for school students, art competition for children, capacity building exercises. Report stated that the programme would culminate on January 22 with an art exhibition at Tuophema village council hall.
Altogether, 12 established and upcoming visual artists who are empanelled with the Task Force for Music and Arts are attending the programme.
