T20 WCC: Juggernauts CC, Hercules CC enter finals

Wokha, Jan. 17 (EMN): Juggernauts CC, the reigning champions, and Hercules CC are through to the final of the 24th edition of T20 Winter Cricket Challenge (T20 WCC).

In the first semi-final match between Hercules CC and EYL, the former elected to bat first after winning the toss and put up a target of 130 runs in 20 overs (for loss of nine wickets) with Daniel scoring 27 runs, Daniel Gogoi 26, Vijay 21, Sushanta 16 and Toshi 11, besides taking two wickets.

Dipu of Hercules CC was adjudged Man of the match for his three-wicket haul.

In the second semi-final, Juggernauts CC decided to bat first after winning the toss and set a target of 139 runs for Tritons CC. Chonben Kithan and Nayan Hazirika scored 32 runs each while Himanshu Saikia scored 27, Sunny Prarasar 17 and Renben 10 for the team.

Tritons CC failed to chase down the low total, running short of 33 runs to win the match.

Himanshu Saikia, who scored 27 runs (not out) and claimed three wickets, was adjudged Man of the match.
