Wokha, Jan. 12 (EMN): EYL defeated Hurricanes CC by 36 runs in 20 overs losing nine wickets to enter the semi final of the ongoing T20 Winter Cricket Challenge in Wokha on Jan. 12.

Winning the toss, EYL opted to bat first and set a target of 148 runs in 20 overs losing five wickets. Nzanthung Mozhui of EYL scored 37 runs while Janbemo Kikon, who was also the man of the match, scored 34 runs (not out).

Achamo Ngullie in a four overs delivery consisting of 17 runs claimed three wickets for Hurricanes CC.

Nchumthung Ngullie and Mhabemo Odyuo contributed 20 and 18 runs respectively for Hurricanes CC but could not help the team to take down the giants.

EYL in the form of Chumchamo restricted six runs in his four overs delivery and claimed four casualties while Alamo Lotha claimed a wicket and a maiden with just nine runs in his four overs delivery.

Due to the bad weather condition, the second match between LCYO and Blackcaps Tseminyu was postponed to Jan. 13.
