T. Khel set to retain over-all champion’s title

Tsütuonuomia (T. Khel) is all set to retain the overall champion’s title of the Kohima Village Sports Association (KVSA) meet for the second consecutive time as it has left the other three khels far behind in the medals tally as the field and track events came to end today. The favourite Naga style wrestling would be conducted on January 11 from 9:00 am.
Out of the 28 medals contested at the end of the three days, T. Khel has clinched a total of 31 medals, which include 12 gold, 13 silver and 6 bronze medals. P. Khel is in second position with 16 medals, including 5 gold, 5 silver and 6 bronze while Lhisemia Khel occupies third place with 6 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze.
The third day of the meet was marked by football for men and volleyball for men and women.
Lhisemia Khel won the football trophy after edging out Dapfhütsumia Khel by 3-2, while the Tsütuonuomia Khel lifted Volleyball men’s event after defeating the Pfuchatsumia Khel.
The D. Khel defeated L. Khel in the Women’s Volleyball event.
