Dimapur, July 16 (EMN): Seyochung Village Students’ Union (SVSU) has launched its second social reformation on July 12 at Seyochung village. The reformation programme included inspecting of high school and planting of trees.
SVSU president, K Chumseli Anar, deplored the government’s apathy in failing to construct the high school building in Seyochung village despite the money being sanctioned in 2011.
The union president stated that after lapse of 5 years, SVSU had filed an RTI and served a 7 day ultimatum on the government to construct building of government high school, which was not paid heeded to. He stated that after SVSU lodged an FIR, the governments finally fulfilled the demand of the Union for the constructing of government high school building at Seyochung village.
Meanwhile, the union has expressed displeasure that in August 2016, the school headmaster was transferred from the village and his replacement has not been made even after lapse of 11 months. In this regard, SVSU has appealed to the government to address the matter at the earliest in the interest of the students community. SVSU also requested the people of Seyochung village to pray for the students’ community.
