Survey committee to assess damaged properties along NH-61

Dimapur, Sep. 4 (EMN): Deputy Commissioner of Wokha Orenthung Lotha on Friday informed that as per the chief engineer of Public Works Department (PWD) National Highway (NH), Nagaland, regarding the widening of the existing single/intermediate lane to two-lane from KM 72.40 to KM 83.00 on NH-61 under Wokha district, the assessment of the damaged properties made earlier has been declared null and void.

In this regard, the assessment of the damage compensation of the structures likely to be effected along the project stretch (KM 72.40 to KM 83.00) will be carried out by the committee constituted on September 2 as per the given schedule — Niropen gate, PWD colony on September 14; PWD colony, Police point on September 15; Police point, NST colony on September 16; and NST colony, Hammock Resort on September 17. The assessment will be conducted at 8 am in all the locations.

All the concerned village council chairmen, colony chairmen and GBs along with the land owners have been requested to be present on the scheduled date and are requested to co-ordinate and extend co-operation to the survey team.
