Suruhuto-Asuto area clean election campaign concludes

Dimapur, May 18 (EMN): As per the constitutional provision given by the Election Commission to maintain clean, free and fair vote in the parliament and state assembly election, the apex body for clean election campaign under 33 A/C Suruhuto-Asuto area consisting of Kukami Hoho (GB), Sulimi Totimi Loka, student unions, village council chairmen, VDBs, Suruhuto Area Public Organization, Church Leaders Fellowship and village level sub-committee members toured 29 villages fromMay 8 to 12.
The main aim and objective of the campaign is to fulfill Election Commission rules and to follow the principle rule of law in the forth coming 2018 Assembly Election so that people can justly elect the capable leader.In a press release, committee chairman Savdba and secretary Hotoi Awomi stated that in exercise process confer upon the commission rule, the committee has resolved that the apex committee shall take over and exercise the entire process for holding common platform system in each village basing on their programmes and meeting will be conduct by the committee.
It also resolved that all intending candidates will provide free and sufficient time to explicit themselves before the public meeting to let the people read their efficiency and capabilities. This will be the final judgment for the fate of the candidate before casting vote.
Purchasing and selling vote will be strictly prohibited as per the constitutional and law of election commission and using of alcohol and drugs will be strictly prohibited during the election.
As per the committee resolution no candidate will be allowed to open election camp. The committee also abolished coup system in particulars village violation village shall take necessary action as per provision of election commission.
