The BJP Nagaland State unit president Dr. Chuba Ao has expressed surprised and denied categorically over certain news report that came out in the local papers stating that the BJP central leadership has communicated to the BJP president Nagaland State unit with regards to the present political imbroglio in the state.
In a press statement, Dr. Chuba Ao said that so far no communications or directives have been received from the central leadership. And if such claim is valid, the same will be made known to the public in time. BJP Nagaland president also said that he is not a constitutional authority to summon or give direction to anyone in this regard.
The BJP Nagaland categorically stated that the present political crisis is the internal affairs of the NPF and the BJP as a partner is pained by such development within a political party. And that the NPF has to sort out by themselves.
The BJP Nagaland president said that the BJP is ready to support a consensus leader to lead the Democratic Alliance of Nagaland (DAN).
The party also feels that this present political crisis should be solved in a time bound manner by the Governor. The BJP Nagaland also stated that the party cannot effort to lose the NDA era, because of the internal crisis within the Naga People’s front and further urged them to solve amicably this internal crisis.
Dr. Chuba Ao said that the BJP as a responsible party has drawn a line for its members, when a decision is taken and that the party will be one in whatever decision it takes.
